Yay! I successfully made myself go to class today! I was a bit worried because I hadn’t done the online quiz (still need to do that), read the text, or done any research on my group project. But I managed to talk myself into it anyway and was glad I did. We talked about how we hold certain beliefs about money because of our culture. We tried to play a round of the game Cash Flow (http://www.cashflowboardgame.com/), which was kinda fun. I’d love to get a copy of that for gaming, but — HOLY SHIT! — it’s $125+. Um… yeah, I suppose I’d learn about using my money to make money, but it’s hard to justify that kind of expense.
This afternoon, Eric and I went over to Becoming Independent (http://www.becomingindependent.org/) to pick out some artwork as a thank you to Eric for working on a project for them through his office. That was a treat. We looked and looked through some of the different portfolios they had set out for us, and finally decided on a great piece that made us think it was a free association thought project. It’s being matted and framed and we should get it sometime next week.
Afterwards, I made a veggie run, in the cold and damp. I scored four stalks of cardoon! I’m planning on cooking that up for Easter. I also restocked my chard/beet greens, carrots, leeks and broccoli florets. I picked up a carton of eggs, and think I’ll make up a frittata for dinner. They had cute little jars of pink saurkraut. I’m not sure how I’ll like it, but I’m willing to give it a try.
